Xiaohongshu (RedNote) Marketing for Overseas Businesses
Build a clearer Chinese-language content plan for the customers your business wants to reach. I offer defined Xiaohongshu (RedNote) strategy, content planning and localization projects for businesses serving Chinese-speaking customers.
Start with your customers’ questions, your offer and the content you can provide. We agree the target market, audience, deliverables and responsibilities before work begins, then decide whether further account or creator support is appropriate through separate arrangements.
Core project scope
A project can cover the areas below. We agree the market, deliverables, source materials, review rounds and responsibilities before starting. The core scope produces a practical plan and approved content materials; ongoing publishing and creator activity require separate arrangements.
Strategy, audience & keyword research
Define the business goal, market and customer questions before choosing content topics. Review your offer, available Chinese-language materials and relevant public content to identify useful search phrases and intent.
Deliverable: a market-specific audience brief, topic priorities and an initial keyword map.
Content planning & creative briefs
Turn audience questions into a practical content calendar. Each brief can define the angle, opening, supporting evidence, visual requirements and next step, with a review process for factual claims.
Deliverable: agreed content themes, a publication plan and briefs your team can use.
Chinese content localization
Adapt approved business information into clear Chinese copy, using a tone and terminology appropriate to the selected market. Local service details, prices and cultural context should reflect the actual offer rather than a literal translation.
Deliverable: an agreed number of localized drafts and revision rounds. You approve business facts before use.
Content discoverability & review
Plan clear titles, relevant wording and useful answers around the keyword research. Review content organization and profile messaging for consistency, then use available account data to guide the next set of topics.
Deliverable: a content review checklist and prioritized recommendations. Visibility and ranking are not guaranteed.
Visual production, filming, photography and website changes are scoped separately when needed. You retain ownership of your business account and supplied materials.
Who this service is for
This service suits overseas businesses with a clear offer and the ability to serve the audience they want to attract. A useful starting point is one market and a focused set of customer questions.
- Local services and destinations: businesses that can explain location, availability, booking and customer experience in Chinese.
- Retail and eCommerce brands: teams with accurate product details, approved visual assets and a suitable purchase journey.
- Businesses expanding into Chinese-language marketing: teams that need research and localized content before committing to ongoing channel management.
We assess fit using the business, market and available resources. Sensitive or regulated offers need an appropriate review of claims and platform requirements before content is used.
How the work starts
1. Understand the business and market
Share the website, offer, target locations, account status and existing materials. We define a specific objective and discuss whether a content project is a sensible first step.
2. Research and agree the plan
Review relevant audience questions and public content, then prioritize topics and keyword themes. Confirm the scope, deliverables, schedule and approval responsibilities before production.
3. Prepare and review content
Develop the agreed calendar, briefs or localized drafts. Your team checks business details, availability and claims. Approved assets and agreed revision rounds keep the work grounded in the actual offer.
4. Review the next step
Hand over the materials with clear recommendations. Where account data is available, review what people engage with and which enquiries are relevant. Any publishing, reporting or continuing optimization is defined in its own scope.
Optional services requiring separate arrangements
Ongoing account management, publishing, community responses and KOL/KOC collaboration may be considered after checking availability and the practical requirements. These services are not included in the core planning and localization project unless explicitly agreed.
For creator work, the parties, selection process, fees, content rights and reporting must be confirmed separately. For any paid advertising proposal, platform eligibility and access must be checked before a delivery commitment is made. No certification, paid advertising access, creator partnership or past Xiaohongshu campaign result is claimed here.
If your priority is paid acquisition or the website journey, explore Google Ads management, Meta advertising or landing page optimization. These remain separate services.
Frequently asked questions
Is this the same as multilingual PPC?
No. This service focuses on Xiaohongshu content strategy, planning and localization. Chinese audience and multilingual PPC covers paid campaigns on suitable advertising platforms. The two can support a wider marketing plan, but their deliverables and costs are agreed separately.
Can you manage our account and publish content?
Ongoing account operation is an optional scope. Account eligibility, permitted access, publishing responsibilities, available capacity and the approval process must be confirmed first. A strategy or localization project does not automatically include posting or community management.
Do you provide KOL or KOC collaborations?
Creator collaboration can be discussed as a separate arrangement when suitable resources are available. It requires confirmation of creator selection, outreach, fees, content rights, approval and reporting. No existing influencer partnerships or guaranteed placements are implied.
Does this include paid advertising on Xiaohongshu?
Paid advertising access is not part of the core service. Any paid activity would require a separate review of platform eligibility, account access and an agreed delivery arrangement. This page does not claim platform certification or approved advertising access.
How will we judge whether the work is useful?
Agree the measures before starting. These may include content delivery, available search and engagement signals, relevant enquiries and feedback from your team. Account data and attribution limits affect what can be measured; follower growth, rankings, leads and sales are not guaranteed.
What should I send, and how is pricing agreed?
Send your website, target market, offer, existing Chinese materials, account status and main objective. This work is quoted as a defined project or separately agreed ongoing scope. The existing PPC management packages are not changed and do not automatically include Xiaohongshu work.
