Chinese marketing services can describe very different kinds of work. One proposal may cover Google Ads management. Another may focus on social content, creators or translation. A third may combine advertising and landing page recommendations.
Before comparing fees, make sure you are comparing the same job. I would start with your business goal, then separate the work into deliverables, responsibilities and costs. That makes it easier to choose the support you need and understand what remains with your team.
For TerryKX Media, the core offer is personal PPC consultancy across Google Ads and Meta Ads, with multilingual campaign support and related measurement and optimization work. Xiaohongshu strategy, content planning and localization require their own agreed scope.
Separate planning from campaign management
A planning project defines the audience, market, offer and channel roles. It may identify required creative, tracking changes and landing page improvements before a campaign can launch.
Ongoing management is the work of reviewing and adjusting agreed campaigns after that foundation exists. It involves decisions about spend, search terms, ad copy, audiences or creative, depending on the platform and campaign type.
An account audit is another distinct service. It examines the current setup and produces practical priorities. The audit may reveal implementation work, but reviewing a problem and fixing every affected system are different deliverables.
Ask whether a proposal covers advice, implementation or both. “Tracking review,” for example, should not be interpreted as rebuilding all tracking integrations unless that work has been explicitly included.
Make localization a usable deliverable
Localization should explain what is being adapted and who approves it.
For advertisements, that could include keyword research, Chinese copy and creative text. For a landing page, it may involve the offer, headings, calls to action, form labels and important buying conditions. English, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese may need different versions.
Translation alone does not establish that a page accurately describes the business. Someone must confirm prices, availability, service terms and product claims. A language specialist can improve wording, but your business remains the source of those facts.
Also agree on what happens after an enquiry. The project may improve the advertisement and form without providing customer support, sales calls or appointment handling. That distinction affects the customer’s experience and the workload for your team.
Use a scope table when comparing proposals
| Workstream | What to define | What to keep separate |
|---|---|---|
| PPC management | Platform, ad account, campaigns and optimization responsibilities | Advertising spend and unrelated accounts |
| Audit or setup | Review areas, implementation tasks and handover | Ongoing management after the project |
| Localization | Pages, assets, languages and approval process | Unlisted website pages and customer support |
| Measurement | Business actions, tools and checks | Full CRM development or unrelated integrations |
| Xiaohongshu content | Strategy, content planning and agreed production work | Creator fees, paid promotion and account services unless included |
This table is a discussion framework, not a promise that every provider offers every workstream. A narrower, well-defined project can be more useful than a broad package with unclear responsibilities.
Connect reporting to a business decision
Ask what the reporting will help you decide. For an online store, that may involve purchases, value, acquisition costs and which products justify further budget. For a service business, relevant enquiries and subsequent lead quality are important alongside the cost of a form submission.
Agree on metric definitions and the reporting period. If a proposal refers to ROAS, ask which conversion value and spend are being used. If it promises leads, ask how relevance will be assessed and who supplies the follow-up information.
There should also be a way to explain changes. You need to understand what was adjusted, what prompted the adjustment and which question the next review will address. A list of platform metrics without that context leaves the business to interpret the account alone.
Understand management fees and other costs
Advertising spend is separate from the management fee. Other costs may include content production, website implementation or third-party work, if the project requires them. They should be identified rather than assumed to be included.
My monthly Google Ads, Meta Ads and TikTok Ads management pricing is per ad account and based on monthly ad spend: Basic is $300 for spend up to $3,000; Standard is $600 for spend between $3,000 and $9,000; Premium starts at $900 above $9,000. Final pricing depends on campaigns and workload.
Those management packages do not make one fee cover several ad accounts or every platform together. One-time audits, setup projects and other defined work receive a scope-based quote. The pricing page explains the management structure.
Prepare a brief that can receive a useful quote
Send your website, business type, target markets, written languages, approximate monthly advertising spend and the main problem. Mention which accounts exist and who can approve creative, update the website and handle enquiries.
That information gives us a basis for discussing a realistic scope. Explore multilingual PPC or contact me to explain the support you are looking for.
